Nearly everything to do with your wedding day will be personalised to suit your theme, interests, style and ideas; from the wedding dress itself to the table settings. Although, many of these ideas will have come from something you have seen at a previous wedding or an adaptation of something that is already available, unless you are made of money and everything is going to be handmade from scratch. Now imagine if you could have something made for just you two that no one else will have just like the celebrities do… A wedding logo.
What is a wedding logo?
A wedding logo is created with your ideas and themes in mind to show the partnership of the two of you as a married couple. In many cases marriage means that surnames will be changed and that a new branch will begin on that ever-expanding family tree. Back in times gone by there would have been someone who would have created a personal family coat of arms for you and a wedding logo is a modernised version of that. It can incorporate your names (old and new) as a symbol of your love and everlasting relationship. A beautifully designed wedding logo can add that extra special touch to invitations, stationary, order of service, decorations and even as a symbol elegantly projected onto the floors or walls of your reception. You can then use that logo from your wedding onwards as a constant reminder of the day itself and your partnership.
How is a wedding logo made?
Firstly you get the chance to talk through your ideas, colour options and personal style so that a better example can be drawn up that is extremely personal to you. Next several logo designs will be hand drawn so that the curves and shapes take a more natural look and feel. Those hand drawn designs will then be replicated on computer software so that colours and shapes can be developed even further. You will then be given three options to choose from which ensures that you get the right one for you (although you may be torn between all three)! Finally, that design can be sent to a stationer, printing company or etched into a Gobo or glass slide ready for projection onto the reception venue’s floor or walls.
The benefits of a wedding logo
There are so many benefits to having your very own wedding logo. Imagine your guests eyes widen when they see your initials entwined on the napkins at dinner or floating around in time to your first dance as a light pattern on the floor. Not everyone can afford to have the ultimate ‘Katie Price and Peter Andre’ wedding (not all of us want that either) but something like this gives that special celebrity feel without forking out for a Cinderalla horse and carriage. A wedding logo is a sophisticated addition to your wedding day that will give you and your guests something to treasure for many years to come. It could make up part of your new family coat of arms or be used on a plaque at the front of your home. There are so many different ways you can use this new sign of your love that you will find yourself wondering why this was never on the wedding checklist before!
